Erase and Reinstall OSX- now no FW recognition

I decided to erase the G4 and do a complete reinstall. Now I get DP but I don't see my FW interfaces. I have installed MOTU Firewire interface, but it is not seeing it either. What am I overlooking here?

Checked for drivers?
Have you looked into the System Profiler to see if it appears there?
