AIFF Vs AIF

Post by LOUIT »

Dear MOTU
I bought in May your MACHFIVE universal sampler because: UVI-Xtract•„•, I updated your software to version 1.2.3.
INCREDIBLY: I am not able to import .AIFF files into MACHFIVE with your UVI-Xtract. The Sample are not read at all by your software. I can read .AIF but NOT the .AIFF. How this could be possible??

I am also having problems importing NKI samples.

DO you have a new version of your UVI-XTRACT?

I am using Mac OSX 10.3.8, with Cubase and MACHFIVE as VST instrument.

Thank you
Lou

One solution...

...would be to just remove that extra F from the AIFF file names and see what happens. AIF and AIFF are the same anyway.

UVI-Xtract is for converting 3rd party sampler formats (EXS24, Kontakt, etc.); you don't need UVI-Xtract for AIFF files, just drag & drop them into MachFive.
