AIFF & sonic AIFF?

so whats the difference, peak offers the ability to export to either one, but why, whats the difference, anyone know?

The only thing I know, is that it an audio format used by Sonic Solution audio programs.
I would stick with the normal AIFF, since this is a format that is accepted by all mayor Audio programs. on mac, windows & linux

The difference is time stamping. The standard AIFF doesn't include it, the Sonic AIFF does.
