Working, any improvements?
Stay away from?
I noticed the Vista drivers are out of public beta.

Works great if you are using it for audio apps (and not, say, games/dvd/etc.) and all your computer components are compatible. Some network cards seem to interfere, you need to have a TI 1394 chip and don't be surprised if it BSODs on you when you switch to a new sample rate... but once you've settled into doing actual work it behaves nicely.LEX wrote:Working, any improvements?

I actually use mine to play DVDs, games, etc, and love it except that it has an annoying habit of going nuts when it changes sample rates and occasionally BSODs my system.
I'm not sure any other hardware is better supported... does anyone else write better drivers? I've heard bad, bad things about many companies, and mostly good words for MOTU, but then I don't have much experience with other hardware as I'm a noob to this kind of audio equipment.
the motu drivers are piece of crap. Audio apps run fine but games are making that squaky sound and after a while the sound just stops working. I know my hardware is not the problem cause it was fine under xp. The other issue is that i cannot get cubase asio to work without sync errors above 256 buffer.
