You must select 'Tap temp' and 'Slave to external sync'.

Okay I have tried to figure this out from the manual but no luck.
Please laugh all you want m8.

Here is what I'm doing.

I'm running EZ Drummer, I have one intrument channel wich is running EZ.
I have one MIDI channel that holds the patterns that I copied from EZ.
Then I have all the channels for each item on the drums because I'm
running EZ in multihcannel mode.
Everything works fine, then I add a mono audio track, record enable it
and try to record and I get this message.

You must select 'Tap temp' and 'Slave to external sync' before
you can record to the conductor track.

If somebody could explain how to fix this that would be great
and maybe explain what's happening.

If I enable slave to external sync and select tap tempo under preferences
I don't get the error message when I click the record button but
It doesn't start recording even if I press the play button.

Thanks.

I fixed the problem but it would be great if somebody could
take the time and explain this.

I saw that the first track undir Tracks was record enabled, took
that out and everyting works.

At the top of Tracks Overview or Sequence Editor you should see the conductor track. Is it record enabled? It probably is for that message to appear. Don't have it record enabled. Should work OK now.

EDIT - You got there first and answered yourself correctly. There's nothing to explain really you had it set up to record on the conductor track as well as your audio tracks that's all.
