Headbanger #1: vocal pitch correction

Post by AscendingMusic »

OK folks,

This is the first of what will likely be a series of 'How do I make this work' questions, which will (hopefully) have 'D'oh' answers... I have a soundbite which I have merged together from several smaller bites. In the Sequence Editor, I select the soundbite, andchoose Pitch from the track layer menu. All of the segments display, and I can adjust the pitch segmentation. However, the pointer and pencil tools will not operate; only the lasso shows up. Also, Quantize Pitch does not seem to function.

The peculiar thing is, I've been able to successfully pitch correct other soundbites. Is there someting I'm not seeing or doing here, or is there something I did which I shouldn't have?

All suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance!

life's little mysteries...

Well, I can't tell you what caused it, but creating a new audio track and copying the old soundbite into the new track fixed it!

I dunno... just glad it's working again.
