I am having a problem with my Ultralite on both G5 and Intel Mac whereby at a sample rate of 44KHz there are clicks and pops almost costantly. This happens in Logic, Live, iTunes, Quicktime, in fact anything which uses audio (and it sometimes pops and clicks when no audio app is running). This happens under both FW Bus power and when powered by the AC adaptor.
Change to 48KHz or above and everything is fine in all apps (99% of the time). I have emailed MOTU but just wanted to mention it as working above 44KHz might not be an option for some with less powerful machines (or more plugins). It's obviously related to drivers or something and it is a real pain.
Regards
David

And what about the simplest explanation, such as a defective unit?
I always work at 44.1 KHz. I have had issues, at random, perhaps once in a month the interface can go crazy, but I think it's related to the power supply noise in some Powermac G5 models.
MOTU, if you're listening, putting that switch to select bus or external power in the Traveler is something simple and really useful. Why don't you do it for the rest of the interfaces??????????

(I feel the need to repeat the paragraph, sorry)
