Celtic sound bank

Hello,
I'm loocking for the best CELTIC sound bank of the univers

I know there is one with the Motu Ethno Instrument, but I'd prefer to buy just a great sound bank that could work with Mach Fice.

I've heard the Ultimate Soundscan mp3 demo. The sound seems to me a little bit poor if I compare to the Etno Instrument demo...

I wandered if somebody knows a Celtic sound bank with a realy great sound.
Or maybe the Soundscan is very better than the demo sound••¦?

Which soundscan do you mean?

I have 'historical instruments' - with celtic harps etc I posted about it here recently - try a search.

It is old skule sample CD ie NOT mega GB size. Doesn't cut it on its own by today's standards. Best suited for ornamentation, burying in a mix, simple parts ...... bags of character though. And cheap as chips.

I love old fashioned wonky instruments....

I ment Soudscan Vol 42 and Vol 23.
Yes, one of them is Historical instruments. I've listened to the mp3 demo. The sound seems a little bit poor if I compare with actual sampling and particulary the Celtic bank of Ethno Instrument.

But it is only a mp3 demo listenings••¦

The samples I need will be played solo, beside real musicians, so not only for ornementation. It's why I need them not to be too much "poor".

The fact that 'Historical Instruments' (and presumably the other one) weigh in at just under 500 MB total should tell you all you need to know! - an especially small sample size for real instruments. For solo work the lack of velocity layers, keymapping spans (up to 4 or 5 semitones I think!) etc etc will make them stand a mile out as samples. Having said that I've blended them nicely with VSL but in ultra minimal way. But for your needs they won't cut it.
