Automating track mutes with MIDI
What is the simplest way to automate track mutes with MIDI? Reading prior posts on this forum I am hearing that it will have to involve custom consoles? I find it surprising that such a basic feature is so involved, but if it must involve custom consoles, how do you do it?

Hi Dubwon,
This is fairly easy (I had to check it though).
With your Mixer open, click on both the green 'play' and red 'record' buttons in the automation section (it's in the middle of the Mixer).
Play your sequence ... at the point where you want to 'mute', click the 'MUTE' button above the automation section (below the 'inserts').
This button should light up amber. When you get to the point where you want to lift the mute, simply click the 'mute' button again.
When you replay, the mute button will automatically turn on at the point you recorded it -- as long as you have the green 'play' button activated in the automation section.
