Awesome! I hace switched to mine as well now and all is running well. I will say, 1G is really not enough RAM for what we do, but it is still mighty faster than the G5. The first thing I plan on doing sis upgrading the ram to at least 4G.

I am so glad I don't have to dwell on this anymore. Just got an e-mail from Apple and should have this beast here by Jan 2nd. The tough part is over.
Now, more RAM ...

Rick, since I am sure you already looked into this, do you have any suggestions as to what kind of RAM should I get? I am going to up this thing to 4 Gig and ultimately up it to 8. Apparently, the BestBuy has 5300 RAM that should work with this machine, but I don't see any heatsinks on these chips? Would that be a problem?

Thanks Emulatorloo ;)

Check out Data Memory Systems (www.datamem.com). I've had great luck with them through the years. They have RAM with Apple approved heat sinks, decent prices and lifetime warranty.

I second that -- they know macs, they ship fast, their quality is great. The one time I had a stick of RAM from them go bad, they were damn quick about getting it replaced.
