PPC Machine?
I was reading a post that called a computer a PPC machine can you tell me what that is?

PPC = PowerPC, a trade name for a RISC based CPU developed by Apple, IBM & Motorola (the AIM consortium). These are the Macs with G3, G4 or G5 CPUs (or the 601, 603, 604 if you go back that far).
The newest Macs now use the Intel Core Duo & Core 2 Duo chips, these are known as the Intel Macs (or MacIntels).
