Hi,

I don't think the XP versions are going to make much difference with regard to PCI card compatibility, so long as there are 2K/XP drivers, but I could be wrong. I think with the 324, it's going to be more a matter of incompatible host hardware. If you've tried all slots on that board and nothing else gets it visible, there were some recommendations from people in the Nuendo forum on "un-officially supported" motherboards for the 324. If you search my user name and "324" it should be in the archive from sometime last winter maybe. It wasn't all that great of a list, but it is something I guess. Not sure if that's a great option if you're running a really nice, current host system though.

BTW- I don't have one myself. I've got the original 424, which was the next card they did that "dump & run" on. I should be doing the same as you in the near future. 8)

Take Care,

George

The 2408 MK II does work with XP Pro, but your problem is most likely with the 324 card and your MB chipset. Certain Intel chipsets work...most other brands won't.

A couple of years ago I went through this same problem Took LOTS of time to get it up and working....reading post after post and the purchase of 4 different motherboards before I could get it to work. Certain chipsets wouldn't allow the 324 card to work...was a real pain in the ass....and MOTU was not too interested in helping.

MOTU will tell you it won't work with DDR RAM and Hyperthreading, but I can tell you that I've got it working with both. But the number of Motherboards that are compatible in this configuration were very few....and are very old at this point in the game. If you'd like, I can check tonight and post my config....you might still be able to find this motherboard used somewhere.

In my opinion, your best bet? Upgrade to the 424 card and your life will be much easier. I'd bet that will work from word go.... I just built a new system and upgraded to the 424e card....was very simple to get it working. Took minutes rather than weeks.
