828mkii vs PCI 424

I have an 828mkii. I'm thinking of switching to PCI 424. Any recommendation? Thanks!

424 will be wayyyyyy more flexible.
More I/O , more choices of unit , you'll have 96 I/O of cuemix, HD192 is a stellar sounding machine for less than 3 grand.

How about Sound Quality? Compare between 828 MKII (firewire) and 24 I/O (PCIe)? which one sound better?
