I've used my 2408 now for quite some time. Got brave the other day and put together a new system and bought the new PCI Express 424 card.
Problem I've got now is that on all even numbered channels, I've got digital distortion...sounds like a sync problem, but why only on the even numbered channels - 2,4,6,8,10, etc.? I've got the problem even on the analog inputs of the 2408, so the problem is not related to my digital mixer. Must be between the computer and the 424 card....or the 2408 and the new 424 card.
New system specs.....
Processor: (2) Intel Xeon 3.02 (dual core)
Memory: (2 gig) Kingston DDR2 Fully Buffered DIMM (PC 5300)
Motherboard: Intel S5000VSA4DIMM Dual Socket 771 Intel 5000V SSI EEB
MOTU Interface: 2408 MK II / PCI Express 424
OS: Win XP x64
When I switch the 2408 back to the old system, it still works fine, and I have all of the sample rates set the same in both systems.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.
2408 MK II Noise on 2,4,6,8, etc.
