Olive oil, garlic, mushrooms, pine nuts and basil (torn not cut), tossed through fresh pasta with a small amount of romano or pecorino cheese, good crusty bread and some nice red wine.
$229 is a great price for the Blue Tubes bundle and I'm now wondering if the extra 3 plugs in the Vintage bundle for another $130 (if the group buy reaches the max discount) is worth the wait. Greedy gear lust coupled with a lack of patience.
Does anyone have any experience with the Analog Signature Pack plugs?

Lots of stuff and a recently acquired ability to stop buying

When I first tried BT bundle v 1.5 if I remember correctly I hated. Compared to BombFactory Pultecs, Fairchilds, etc, they sucked.
So I stoped using BT...
After a while I tried again, and I still thought it sucked...
But it was only 1.5 and RTAS version.
Maybe I should give it a try now on V3 MAS/AU...
I use UAD EX-1 a lot and like the results...
I'm not a big fan of Wavearts AudioTrack v 4 or 5.
To me, it's better to use UA Pultecs, UA LA-2A or 1176, or even Blockfish...
I don't use PSP VW much either....

I am really confused. Did you get everything for $229?!?!?!?! I thought that the price was $500 on Nomad Factory's site. I am buying this when I hear back from you.mikebeckmotu wrote:I've been enjoying all of this garlic and olive oil for the past three or four days. So when I saw this deal:

My credit card groaned and finally said "oh, all right".
$229 beats the group buy price for me.
Also, if you buy anything off of AudioMidi, check this out:

Add crushed red pepper and more garlic! Fresh spinach or broccoli'd be good too, and more garlic.davedempsey wrote:Olive oil, garlic, mushrooms, pine nuts and basil (torn not cut), tossed through fresh pasta with a small amount of romano or pecorino cheese, good crusty bread and some nice red wine.

Ah well, it was listed at $229 yesterday. I see it has been raised to $399, so it must have been an error. I give huge credit to AudioMIDI for processing my order, though, at $229.
The reason I said it was better for me than the group buy is that I already have the Analog Signature pack, and I also have IK's CSR reverb, so I really don't need the BlueVerb. I should have made that clearer.
I like the Analog Signature Pack, but I like the new BlueTubes better so far. The two bundles have some similarities, but they are different enough that it's worth trying the demos to see what works best for your music.
Sorry if I got anybody confused about the pricing issue - I really did think it was an introductory offer or I wouldn't have posted anything here.

The first part of your quote pretty much sums up the sound.jonwerx wrote: Nice and warm on the bottom (Trackbox), and surprisingly smooth on the top end. I'll sometimes add a few dbs over 12k on vocals for a bit of "air" in the track, but not every eq can do this effectively without sounding harsh.
I've made some drastic high end cuts using the AS EQP-4 on material by a local performer, (talented but stubborn), due to hiss and too much overhead high hat. The material still sounded smooth with a lot of sonic vitality. I was amazed.
Yes, more red pepper, spinach, mushrooms, and garlic!!! Just an interesting observation: No one has suggested adding salt. A smart bunch!!!
James: $229 for BT bundle must have been good karma for mikebeck.
$149 is a good deal.
Jeronimo: v1.5 goes back to late 2002. I used to think that v2 of the PEQ-2B 'Pultech' sounded smooth. v3 is smoother. But then again, I'm biased. I would be interested to hear your opinion of v3.

I tried the demo awhile back and liked it. It's definitely got a certain coloring to it, and their specifications don't hide the influence for the design of it. I now have Classik Studio Reverb, and I think it's better, but I still like the BLueVerb and would like to have it (I'm hopeless - I want all reverbs). I tried it on a few different things, and one thing I liked is that I was able to use it on drums and the drums kept their punch.jefvTaon wrote: can some one tell me what they think of the blue verb? it would be my alternative to the DP's till the Altiverb gets UB.
thanks,

I guess I could sum up by saying it sounds good and it's easy to use and it didn't over-tax my CPU. But it's probably not an all-purpose reverb. Hope that helps somewhat.

Looking forward to your impressions.jeronimo wrote:I'll DL the demos of V3 and post back.... but I'm biased against it
I'm not sure they'll sound better (???????) than UAD stuff...
For the record, I don't think anyone has made a claim of ..."sounding better than"... I have used terms such as "similar" or "comparable to"...
I have a UAD-1 (StudioPak) so I can make a direct comparison.
You can also checkout the plug-in comparison I posted awhile ago. These will be available until I post new examples after the new year.

Not everyone has a computer with PCI slots of any type or a budget to also purchase a Magma chassis (in addition to a DSP card. No argument here about the sonic quality). There is a need for quality native solutions. Even the Sony Oxford stuff is going AU. Firewire options are also appreciated.
Now, about that smoked salmon...
