hello,
I just finished dusting the inside of my PC. I reconnected everything after making a few hardware changes and cleaning the whole chassis and now I have no sound.
What I changed:
••• I swapped RAM into different slots, then back as it was before.
••• I moved my *OLD* Audio/Firewire interface to a lower slot to allow for more breathing room for the video card.
Those two items that I moved do not have anything to do with the ULTRALITE. The ultralite is connected to a separate Belkin FW interface that was not even touched.
The ULTRALITE is powering on just as usual and is connected to the Belkin FW card.
Device manager does not show any problems anywhere.
I checked the MOTU mixer console to make sure that the levels are the same as before and they are.
Why am I still not getting any sound?
The ULTRALITE was not even moved, so all connections stayed the same and I am getting power to the unit, so everything is plugged in.
Help please!
Cleaned Computer, now there's no Sound on Ultralite.

OK, just tested a mic on the ULTRALITE and I am getting sound. So the interface is working, but XP is not transfering the system sounds to it.
What could it be?

Got it!!! Aaaaahhh, what a relief. Hopefully somebody will benefit from this post:
When I changed the slot for my old card the driver settings were reset it seems, the driver for this old device was re-enabled.
I had disabled my old audio card's driver back in the day so that I could keep it plugged in just in case.
ULTRALITE will not work if there is another audio device enabled in the computer I guess?
Disabling my old audio device and restarting did the trick. Now the ULTRALITE is the only udio device enabled.
Cheers!
