I had a similar problem with the Asus SLI Deluxe board. Everything worked fine under XP32 but once the MoTU 64bit drivers came out and I upgraded to XP64 it fried my MoTU device and would no longer work in any of my other PCs. It took some time for MoTU to get me the RMA and replacement and I never did receive the results of what happened. Since it worked fine under XP32 on the same hardware...I could only assume the XP64 driver fried it since no other systems would even recognize it once I used the XP64 driver.

Needless to say it cost me $200 to have both my MoTU devices fixed and shipped to MoTU for repair.

I was using my FW-1884 since it has yet to fail however it does not work at all under XP64.

Once the 828mkII was back from repair I switched back to using it. The MoTU products are great but the support is the worst I have ever seen for sure. They seem to be a big company but considering how difficult it is to get one of their products repaired I don't think I will be using MoTU if I have any further problems. This was the first problem in two years but cancelling 20 hours of paying studio customers really hurt the business. Not to mention the customers all knew about the situation and not real happy with their support.
