Hi
I have been having a number of audio problems of late, one of which was an earlier post about my PCI-424 hitting 100% on PCI bandwidth. I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade M/B and G/C to PCIe, with a view to upgrading my PCI-424 to the PCI-424e version. I rebuilt my PC with an Abit KN8 M/B etc. and added my PCI-424 to one of the two PCI slots. Started XP and checked out the card. All was well, so I thought I'd give it a try - Things seem to have improved a lot, well for a day or so. Anyway I booted the PC with a view to try out one of my projects to see if there was any improvement. To my surprise I found that both my 2408 Mk III and My 24 I/O had disappeared from the PCI Audio console. I have tried everything to get these back even to get a new H/D and put a completely fresh install of Windows on it. So the question, is there anything that can be done to resolve this issue, moreover I don't want to go out and purchase the PCIe-424 upgrade if this is not going to work either. Any help would be much appreciated.
Rgds

Not sure if this helps, but I had this issue where my 2408 mk3 and 24I/O would disappear intermittently, or the sample rate would suddenly change in mid-playback, so audio would slow down, and all sorts of funny things. Turns out my card was bad, got a new one from MOTU and all has been fine ever since.
