Strange problem with traveller and windows xp

Post by JohanBlome »

My system has been running flawless for about a year when it suddenly started to behave strange. I had taken my traveller on a small recording trip using it with my laptop without problem.

At home after the recording I plug in the Traveller the same way as I have been doing the last year and BAM the picture on my monitor (analog connected lcd) is gone. Turn off the traveller - the picture is back. Turn on the traveller - picture is gone. However the traveller seem to work with no problems (running remote desktop).

Ideas, anyone?

Wierd behaviour; I can't really think of any logic link between the two. The obnly thing I can think of is a power shortage if you are powering the Traveler with the firewire conector.
If you are, use an external power supply.
It could be...
