I have the same computer running 5.01 in OS X.47 and don't have the problem - but I am not running Reason.

Have you called tech support? You might reinstall DP, but considering all you have tried, it would seem a call to MOTU would be in order.

Where is the AU cache so I can dump that...Cause my DP has been crashing whenever I try to bring up the Mixer or penciling in fades and stuff. I am goign ot dump the preference folder when I return to the studio later tonight and will also look for this AU cache.

You should do this without DP running. When you restart DP, it will check all of your AU plugins as though the app had been first installed.

If you have any MAS VIs such as MachFive that also use AU, they will be skipped during the boot up exam in favor of using the MAS version. So if you see any skipped AUs in the results, it's okay and par for the course. Any AUs with real problems will be cited.

have blasted an email to motu tech support...

hopefully will resolve....

At least it's stable... It's just annoying!

If I didn't have 3 million apps to re-install re-authorise etc I would just wipe the drive and have a clean sysytem

but that's not possible even then- still wnna track cd's use Live, burn CD's invoice people..etc. can't have a sep computer for everything! and why should I? other "heavyweight" apps manage just fine!

Yeah, but you can partition your boot drive and thus allow your single computer to have distinct multiple personalities! Sure makes it easier to agrade, update and repair, too.
