optical out in stand alone mode of Traveler

Post by MotuS »

hi there,
does anybody know if this is possible and how :
to have the main out coming from the optical out during stand alone operation of traveler.
for example on possible use:
traveler as standalone mixer, pre and A/D (D/A) converter that goes recorded to a MD(i know...MD is not the best but its ok for me).

when by itself (no computer and motu software) its impossible to set the main out to optical out.

suggestions?

thanx

Yes, it's possible via the LCD screen of the traveler:
- press the mix knob, turn it till the 'Optical Out' screen
- turn the select knob, choose 'TOS Link' and press select
- turn the mix knob till the 'Bus Output' screen
- select mix1 (or 2...)
- turn the value knob, choose 'SPDIF' and press the value knob
