I Need a VI. M5?

Post by SuperDave »

I don't want to carry that 50lb Korg Trinity anymore. I have my Axiom 61 and my PB 1.5 maxed out on RAM. I play rock music and need an acoustic piano, electric piano, B3, a good underlying pad, a couple of synth leads, and an arpeggiator. Is MachFive the beast I need? and do I have the horsepower to playback a few tracks and play live?

Thanks,
David

I'll just reply to my own post.

How are the built in VI's in DP5? Maybe I should go that route for starters? I could kill two birds with one stone?

I don't think the built in synths in DP5 will replace your Trinity. Not even close! Neither will Mach 5. If I were you I'd look into Propellerheads Reason. You could run it standalone and will cover all the bases you list.
