Performance Issues
Hi folks I'm struggling to get any kind of performance whilst trying to record audio tracks with a buffer of under 256. I often record live events and would love to use DP but can't get the buffer low enough to make it feasible. One thing that stangely does seem to help is if I instantiate a virtual...

Re: Multitrack drum quantize
Thanks Kurtl I've used this method before and it works well if a little slow. I was more wondering about new additions to this department in DP10, not unlike the way PT makes an aggregate of beat markers of all the drum tracks and lets you split the kit neatly at the start of every beat. Then fill g...

Multitrack drum quantize
Hi Folks
I'm a long term DP user. I usually edit drums in PT using Beat Detective which works great. With DP10 is there an easy way to do the same thing. Either cutting the drums up and quantising or time stretching. Phase is obviously crucial.
Many thanks Brian

Re: AVB reliability?
Thanks Doug
Having spoken to MOTU and experimented a bit I came to the conclusion that my laptop (2012 i7) might be a bit old. It's mostly just getting things connected which is the problem, once everything is set it works great. I reckon I can get the interface to work one in every five times.

AVB reliability?
Hi folks.
Is anyone here having a reliable experience using the new MOTU interfaces with AVB via ethernet?

Re: Is anyone managing to run low buffer sizes on DP?
One of the main reasons I'm trying to get the latency as low as possible is that a few guitarist that I regularly record seem to feel latency at 128. Who am I to argue with that. I understand the concept of Host Buffer Multipliers but have also noticed that setting it to 2 or 3 instead of 1 signific...

Do you have your Host Buffer Multiplier set higher then 1?

Re: Is anyone managing to run low buffer sizes on DP?
I think switching off the warning is the way to go. I'm just not sure about recording when the performance meter is flat out in the red.

Is anyone managing to run low buffer sizes on DP?
Just wondering about this.
I run a few different programmes and as much as I love DP I never seem to get the buffer size lower than 128. Is this the general situation for most people?

Re: Force a MAS plugin to run AU version?
Hi Dan
Yes I'm in 32 bit mode. As far as I can tell I've deleted the appropriate cache. Still no joy. I have a reply from MOTU about the tech link but can't seem to load the MOTU website. I'm in Spain this week so that may be the issue.
Thanks again Brian

No joy Mike. This is really baffling.
