Thanks. I am not sure what to show in terms of a screenshot. I just have busses in DP that are not transporting the audio signal to the selected track.mikehalloran wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 7:24 am Congrats on the new gear.
That UA Apollo X8p looks pretty slick.
Otherwise, I think we need some screen shots to see what’s going on.

Busses Don't Work with New Computer and Interface
I am switching from an intel Mac to a Mac Studio Silicon, while also bringing on a new Universal Audio interface, and I expected to have some difficulties with my existing projects, but I cannot figure this out. On playback, all audio tracks are operational. However, seemingly random bus groups are ...

Re: Using Sends and Automation
The problem is essentially more about the sends than it is the effect. Using the sends and bussing to a separate aux track produces additional gain. As long as the sends is enacted it will produce added gain. Setting the effect to 100% causes a cut in the gain.

Re: Using Sends and Automation
Something is messed up if you are getting a gain change on your dry sound. DP does work just like an analog console, and I do as you are describing all the time with results as expected. I'd look closely at your delay plug. The "losing gain" phenomenon suggests a bit of out-of-phase dry s...

Thanks for the response. I did not mention that, but yes I did do that.HCMarkus wrote:Turn the mix control on your delay plugin to 100% wet.

Using Sends and Automation
I sm not highly advanced in the ways of mixing and I am constantly trying to figure things out. I have run into another one of those items that I have to figure out and I am here to get some help. I am using DP 8.07 on a Mac Pro with 2x3.2 Intel processing and 20 GB of memory, OS X version 10.10.5. ...

Re: Plug Ins Not Available - Need Help
UPDATE: I ran through the above procedure another time and it seems stable now. This time I tested it in a VI effects window. Strangely, I couldn't get the AU's to show at all. They would appear as if the interface was not engaged - so, not fully loaded in their individual windows. But, after I trie...

Re: Plug Ins Not Available - Need Help
First, access your user Library by holding down option while you look at the GO menu from Finder. This is different from the root library. Open the User Library from that Go menu and then find the Preferences folder. In there, you'll see com.motu.DigitalPerformer (a folder) com.motu.DigitalPerforme...

Re: Plug Ins Not Available - Need Help
Thanks, Mike. I tried the install, repair permissions and reboot, and it had no effect. I am not sure what the "preference files" are that I need to trash for the next step.

Plug Ins Not Available - Need Help
I recently downloaded Bias 64 Guitar Amp Modeller. But, when I tried to load it into a VI, it is not available in the list! And then I noticed that my Amplitube 3 Plug in is not available either all of a sudden! I went to preferences to see if they were checked on that list and they were. It doesn't...

Re: DP Workflows
Thanks for the responses. This helped me. I am trying to learn. I think my OP may have been misconstrued to a degree, and I apologize if it seemed that my uncertainty in how to handle things was some sort of broadsweeping criticism. I am learning how to do things in the most optimal manner.

Re: DP Workflows
I don't mean to sound unsympathetic about Vision; I really don't. It's anyone's worst nightmare to lose their primary DAW. But at some point you just have to let it go, and the Opcode debacle occurred 15 years ago, give or take a year. That's half a career. Half the life of the Macintosh! I enjoy t...

Re: DP Workflows
Thanks for the replies. I am hoping for more. There's not much info that I am aware of that approaches just the process of using DP. It took me some time to piece my personal approach together, and I am still working on it frankly. I suppose the Song section is simply not for real playback, right? C...
