Re: Anyone using the MacBook Air M2?

I'm looking at getting a new laptop and the only one I am considering is the M2 MacBook Air, The reason is that the M1 uses a USB-C charging cable while the M2 went back to MagSafe like my 2012 MBP. I want that cable to fall away when there's any strain. My thinking exactly. Your friendly ne...

Re: Gen 4 Focusrite Scarlett

Phil, do you notice an improvement in sound while monitoring with the M6 compared to older units? My old unit is an Apogee Rosetta 800. It was their flagship at one time. I'm not hearing any discernible difference. I also have a Lynx Aurora. They all are pretty much the same. I'm monitoring with Ad...

That's exactly the reason I went for the M6. The external power supply was the deal breaker for me.

Re: Anyone using the MacBook Air M2?

Thanks, guys. The poster in the other thread was suggesting that only the M2 "portables" had the problem. I was checking to see if anyone with a MacBook Air M2 (specifically) had any issues. I think the lack of response from M-A M2 owners tells me this is a non-issue and I should bite the ...

Anyone using the MacBook Air M2?

I'm considering purchasing a MacBook Air M2. There is another topic here where the OP is having performance issues with this computer and DP. That topic has become heated, so I'm posting my question here. My question is simple. Has anyone else here (who owns a Macbook Air M2) had performance issues ...

Regarding the movie message - I was getting that for a while, then it mysteriously went away.
Except the name was movie.movie.

Things that make you go hmm.

Hey thanks for the reminder. I forgot to do that when I got my Mini. The externals were running without Trim enabled.

Re: What are your favorite reverb plugins?

Many moons ago there was a reverb by Kind of Loud called Realverb. I used it on many recordings. Kind of Loud got bought out by Universal Audio and it's the only reason I invested in a UAD card. UA renamed it Realverb-Pro and then added some features and named it Dreamverb. Both Realverb-Pro and Dre...

So, the guitar player in one of the bands I work in (yes I currently work for 2 different bands - a scheduling nightmare and story for another day) is a big Sleep Token fan. I've listened to some of Sleep Token's stuff and it's not my cup of tea, but one of the things I really don't like is the voca...
