How do you set YOUR input levels?

So I just got a traveler and I'm playing with CueMix. How do you guys set your input levels? Do you just pull the fader all the way up and adjust mic pre gain, recording as hot as you can? Thanks.

LAME MP3 bounce sounds weird...

Hi all,
I bounce a track using the LAME MP3 deal and it comes out with a slight swirling chorus effect. I was advised to change to some higher settings when bouncing but when I try to change anything from what the standard preset is, I get an error message. Anyone know what's up?

Yeah... it messed me up pretty good. See recent post: MIDI system crashed with new security update. I fixed it but wow that isn't fun.

Re: MIDI system has crashed with new security update

Okay... fixed it. Here's what worked for me: Unistalled driver for the Firewire Solo and reinstalled. I aslo downloaded the MOTU MIDI usb update. I don't have any usb devices, but many have had luck with this when "MIDI system has crashed," based on a search I did on unicornation. Anyhow, ...

Quick key command for jumping to markers...

Hi all,
My workflow is often slowed down by me having to click on the marker that I want to jump to in the Markers window. Is there a quick key command for jumping to markers. Thanks for the help.

Re: Instrument track not bouncing...

I tried sending the output of the instrument track to a bus pair and then created an audio track with the input set as that same bus pair. But still nothing. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

Re: Crackling audio? Try CoreAudio Aggregate Devices.

Still no luck. But I think I figured it out. I'm not using Tiger which I believe is when the Aggregate Device was introduced. Correct?

Thanks.

Re: Crackling audio? Try CoreAudio Aggregate Devices.

I'm having the same problems. I have a Firewire Solo as well. I'm trying to use this trick but after I click on Audio Devices I see no Menu to choose aggregate devices. Where is it? Thanks.
