I've been wanting to use my Tascam US428 as a control surface with DP5 with my MBP. When I thanked them for writing a UB driver for it and continuing support for legacy products I asked if they may also write a DP5 plug. They said there were no plans but that I should try using the FW1884 driver and...

Well I should have been more scientific about but I'm not sure it would have mattered. I disconnected the MOTU828MKII and took it out the Firewire chain (when I did this with the SaffirePro 26 there was no remedy). For this project I was using the 828 as the hardware device not an aggregated audio d...

Thanks, Shooshie, I did get a chance to try BTD with another project and BTD worked just as fine as ever. In the original project (where BTD creates a horrible file), after recording to track however, all the tracks then play back out of time. This means, I think, that it not DP, hardware or a parti...

That reminds me: on a few of the freezes, I got a warning that DP encountered a feedback loop. It would then just continue freezing as if nothing happened. I would check and find no such infinite loop was programmed. I think this has something to do with our changing tracks. An internal infinite lo...

Thanks for reporting back, KED. I'm sorry my tips weren't any of the lucky winners but those other guys are pretty smart! I remember there was another DAW that was supposed to have Always run in realtime checked; maybe it was Live, while Cubase and Logic shouldn't have it checked. I wish I could rem...
