I'm sorry to re-revive this thread but maybe it makes more sense than starting a new one.Shooshie wrote:That reminds me: on a few of the freezes, I got a warning that DP encountered a feedback loop. It would then just continue freezing as if nothing happened. I would check and find no such infinite loop was programmed. I think this has something to do with our changing tracks. An internal infinite loop, caused perhaps by the render engine, is making the renderings stack up like a feedback spiral.
Anyone else see this as a description of their own strange DP5 behaviors?

All of a sudden I can no longer Bounce to Disk without everything sounding like it is in a delay feedback loop. No matter how many audio tracks I try to bounce (12 or 2), no matter which firewire Audio box I use (828MKII or Saffire Pro26) DP5.12 juust started doing this. Two days ago it was fine.
The only non-DP plugs I'm using that are not printed are Liquid Mix instances set to run in realtime (Compression and EQ). Again this set up was working until two days ago.
What did I do two days ago? I don't know but DP did crash before these problems started.
Trying to get the audio out of the computer I resurrected a DAT machine which promptly ate the new DAT tape after not working with the 828 SPDIF. A fine diversion.
I can now record to a new Stereo track through a bus after reinstalling DP5, audio drivers and firewire drivers and then running Onyx. Before that only silence. But BTD is still corrupt.

Anyone else have something like going on?
