DP7 Trying To Use MacBook Line In

I've just installed DP7 on a MacBook 13"-2.13GHz/OS X 10.6.8. I want to do some basic (test) recording using the MacBooks Line In/Out. Problem: In the track window the built in line input is in italics, and there is no record button. I'm guessing the input is inactive until I plug something int...

Digital Sound Factory

A lot of press, no working website. Anyone know what's up?

Just tried to go to the site and it worked, so disregard this post for now.

When you say it is off, do the bar lines line up with the beginning and end of the soundbite in the track view?

Any DP user who has a working system should wait until the software is out and being evaluated by the media. I don't necessarily agree. The "media" depends on advertising from the vendor (in this case MOTU) and while you will see some negative reviews from time to time, they also punch up...

Any DP user who has a working system should wait until the software is out and being evaluated by the media. At that point you should start determining (shopping for) which IntelMac you can afford, that will do what you need it to do, with a little room to expand. Before you change or sell your curr...

All Apple did was go into the future and steal Data or Jordi's control console off the bridge of the Enterprise. As for actually using one with DP when it comes to fine editing, you could use a stylus or your fingernail. Imagine working on a, Quote: "drafting table style implementation that mea...

Just a suggestion, sometimes the MIDI stream can be interrupted just enough to make a keyboard miss a note off. Or you can have so much velocity, aftertouch, or pitch bend information the MIDI gets clogged for just a second. This can cause stuck notes. Thin out your control data, turn off or filter ...

This is very odd, and yes-- how time does fly. Honestly, I find third-party support and developmental continuity from MOTU quite embarrassing-- shameful, really. Am I judging too harshly or too prematurely here? It's been my experience that MOTU may take a while to come out with upgrades or new pro...

It's kinda hard to think that MOTU would be able to gets its hands on MIDI devices to create profiles. I know it's not right, (to come from the hardware mfg.), but now days, seems like I should be able to call Roland, Yamaha, Alesis, etc. to get what amounts to a text file, that contains their instr...

Emu Planet Phatt/Orbit Soundfonts

Has anyone tried using Emu Planet Phatt/Orbit Soundfonts with MachFive?
From what I can gather, you need to use CDXtract to convert the files.
