Just take a snashot from your desktop "shift + cmd 3" that will save a picture 1.png file. Now when quiktime ask you for the file, search for the just made file and you should be find.

If you didn't yet try out the sonalksis plugs, you should download the demo (fully functional during 1 month).
They have a really nice sound and are really cpu friendly.

OK
after some more testing it does seem that DP compensate also on the aux tracks.
It must have been my session the other day that was ******uped.
Thanks for the links and tips.

TheHopiWay has the solution. But now instead of 10 drumsTrack you've got 20 drumTracks which means double the time for mixing if you processor can follow. I like to have EQ + Dynamics on all my tracks :-)

So this puzzled me so I went to look in the manual (p.23 of the getting started). and here it was, in front of me. DP ONLY DOES DELAY COMPENSATION WITH AUDIO FILES BEING PLAYED BACK FROM A HARD DRIVE (or VI being triggered by prerecorded MIDI tracks). So what pcm suggested is probably a good solutio...

Thanx jrdmcdnld for your videos. What if you had some eq's and a couple reverbs and a couple more sub mixes for say the Gtrs, the horns ... All this to get your cpu at around 50%. Where I have a doubt is if DP does delay compensation on the auxes. I'm not in front of my system now but will try tommo...

While this work when you have little drain on the cpu. It start to introduce phase problems the more you add tracks which make it really difficult to mix. The solution is to bounce each aux tracks, but this really is a pain when you need to change one thing and you have a lot going on.

Well I'm in the middle of mixing and installed 5.12 and all worked well until I tried to open the track group window. Pouff crash. So I did what I should have done before opening DP5.12. Throw away the preferences and repair permissions and restart the computer. It fixed the problem. so far all is c...

I have some Fx on my aux tracks that I want to automate plus level and pan.

So I'll try your drag and drop trick when I go back in the studio.

We have "move selected track to V-Rack" so I was hoping their was a reverse function "move selected V-Rack track to sequence"

Thanx, That is what I was thinking to do. I'm just doing my first mix with DP and I found that nice to organize all Fx in one V-Rack, all Auxes and Master in another. But then I realised that I can't automate the V-Racks. So an elegant way to put the V-Rack in a sequence would have been welcomed. Ch...
