i guess you have switched your 828 on after switching your computer on. just swap the order of turning your devices on, means 828 first then your computer. under some cercumstances i get the same results as you described. just try it and let us know if it helps or not.

hi dr. simon, well, you are talking about an issue which is well known under the wide user base of logic pro. for some reasons that error message only appears in logic, no matter which version of logic you are running on your computer and no matter what kind or brand of audio hardware is attached to...

what a volume surge are you talking about? i am just asking cuz i have never seen a problem like that in DP...

i am sure that if the MOTU R&D guys knew about it then it will be fixed in DP6.

does anybody know if DP 4.52 does support Mackie‘s C4 directly? I couldn‘t find any coment on MOTU‘s or Mackie‘s homepage regarding this issue.
