I think this could be caused by there not being enough overlap of the soundbites to provide enough time for the crossfade to happen. See that the overlap is as long or longer than the crossfade.

I've used ChatGPT with some success to analyze crash reports. It won't accept the whole report-says it's too long, but it will accept the relevant couple of threads. Perhaps some of the other LLMs might be worth trying.
