i can with OS9 - 828 MKII (G4 single 1.4 Sonnet, 1.5 RAM) - DP3.11 - 60 tracks - 24 bits - 48K + 20 plugins real-time + 2 cards PCI SampleCell run (total used 20% CPU)... and now ?

Jon, the things are changing... it do not have PCI but it has Firewire...and w/ Traveler or 828 MKII is very good ! (FAST)

What to say of iMac 20" - 2.1 w/ 700Mh bus and 1.5Gb RAM ??? I guess, for the price, better that PowerMac 2.0...- someone against ?

everything this, is very strange... I works with a G4 1.4 and 1.5 RAM and can place 24 tracks, more 20 plugins simultaneously, and my CPU goes for 30%... and now?

I read that you cant run two firewire devices as it takes up too much firewire bandwidth creating probs. I have a firewire hard drive connected to front port and 828mk2 on the back port. Try in 828MKII the second port (Firewire), for the Firewire HardDrive... EX : G5 > 828MKII > HardDrive !

look this : Greetings, Sonnets work great, the Powelogix uses a screwy protocol that not compatible with DP. So DP never sees your processor. before transfer, in DP 4 make a "Save As" for Version 3...this is the only solution...
