Seriously ?? How can tap tempo be "dead" in 7.02? I can't believe I am the only one needing this function.

Click Track - Conductor Track Isse
I have been trying to do a tap tempo function (trying to record a new click track to an existing audio recording.) I have tried to follow the guidelines in the MOTU manual and it doesn't cooperate - at all. So, as work around, I created a MIDI track, loaded a drum kit VI and recorded a hi hat click ...

Click Track Issue
Hi I am sure this has been addressed somewhere in this forum, but, I haven't the exact answer first. Here is my issue; I am trying to do a tap tempo function (trying to record a new click track to an existing audio recording.) I have tried to follow the guidelines in the MOTU manual and it doesn't c...

Name this DRUM KIT!
Hi I am in a spot where I have to imitate the quality of the Kenny Logins "epic" "Danger Zone. My first question - what drums where used in this tune? Second question - does someone know of a sample library that would have it? I currently own several drum libraries, but they tend to l...

Giga and Kontakt 2
Hey there I too run two Giga's in tow as well as Kontakt 2. Since purchasing an dual Mac Intel, I am in the process of trying to eliminate the Gigas. As much as I love them (I agree Brad, they are incredibly stable and sound great), they create a lot of noise, heat and extra MIDI running outside of ...

Regarding Gig you just need mount the gig first (like dmg) inside the M5 browser, then select a preset. In theory there should'nt be mising sample in Gig, otherwise let us know what gig you are using. Regarding EXS, it will work fine if you already opened the file in the EXS. In that case EXS fix t...

Some Odd 5.12 Behavior
I just made the jump to DP 5.12. Currently I am having a few issues that cause DP to just suddenly close. They are: 1) After I have made a bounce from MIDI to Audio (using a new 2408, running light pipe into two Gigas, via Gina/Echo) I go to set my Master Out 1/2 (on my main track) OR alter the inpu...

10.4.8 MIDI Oddness
I just installed OSX 10.4.8 now when I add a VI (like Kontake 2) in the pull down menu, there are MANY tracks that repeatedly say Kontakt and then each of those contains 16 channels. Could this be a result of 10.4.8? Also, now everytime I try to examine my Audio MIDI Set Up it gives me the magic spi...

Fixed? NOT
Hey Stephen Well, I worked around it and I am still baffled as to why it happens. I downloaded MPEG Streamclip and it works flawlessly. I have DP 5.01 installed and I am not sure why this is. Using Streamclip, I can take many formats and export to whatever I need. Until someone can suggest a possibl...

Quicktime Export to MPEG4 Failure
Hi - I am desperate for some help here. I have QT Pro 7.1.1 - I also have the MPEG4 Playback feature as well. I have burned a QT time movie to my desktop from Digital Performer. It plays back fine, audio is great. I was able to export an earlier QT I had created to an MPEG4 movie twice (using two di...

On the ongoing subject of Quicktime clips.... I am trying to post (to an FTP server) an 11 minute Quicktime film with my score in it and currently it can take up to two hours to post - and it frequently stalls in the middle of the transmission - requiring baby sitting on my part. I tried to Dropstuf...

>> Your biggest challenge is to make an audio mix file that will sync to the video file you have. You can have separate files in DVD Studio Pro, and as long as they have the exact same start time, you should be OK. But iDVD wants a file that has audio and video on it. I haven't done this yet, but DP...

Syncing to Quicktime - Outputting final to VHS/DVD
Hi I just started working with Quicktime files (that is syncing DP to an imported Quicktime film) from tthe "old school" method of locking to a SMPTE striped VHS. With the imported Quicktime, I get sync just fine - in fact its a little freakish after syncing to VHS for so long..... :) But,...
