Click Track Issue

Post by SMP2005 »

Hi

I am sure this has been addressed somewhere in this forum, but, I haven't the exact answer first. Here is my issue;
I am trying to do a tap tempo function (trying to record a new click track to an existing audio recording.) I have tried to follow the guidelines in the MOTU manual and it doesn't cooperate.

So, as work around, I created a MIDI track, loaded a drum kit VI and recorded a hi hat click along with the audio (its solid to the existing audio piece.) Now the question is; how do I convert THIS new MIDI click track into my conductor track to have this as my NEW click/tempo track?

Thanks!

Shawn

There is no way to convert a MIDI track to a conductor track that I am aware of. You might align beats to the MIDI track and then delete the or mute the MIDI track.

Not sure why you are having click track problems in the first place, however. I rarely use click tracks but I can certainly check it out for you on my system. Are you simply trying to follow the metronome? Or are you trying to adjust beats after the recording? You mention tap tempo so I assume the latter. I know there was a tap tempo issue but i thought it was fixed in DP 6. Maybe it's back?
