Re: DP does not remember key commands
Last night I moved the preferences file to the desktop (did not trash it), opened DP (it creates a new preferences file by default), imported the saved key bindings, restarted DP, and my custom key commands were still there. So it was a corrupt preferences issue. Although by doing that it messed up ...

Re: DP does not remember key commands
The idea is once you set up your key commands you then need to export them somewhere on your computer and then if somehow DP does not recognize your custom key commands you can then importThe file that you export it and that should work I know, but ideally I shouldn't be doing this each time I open...

Re: DP does not remember key commands
I try to make it habit to save my Key Commands whenever I set them up, and whenever I make a change to them. Unfortunately, the last time I did a big re-install, I hadn't saved in a while, so I did have to re-do them. Maybe you could find them in a time-machine backup? I have the key bindings file,...

Re: DP does not remember key commands
Weird. I've never seen this. So the Commands revert to the defaults whenever you launch DP? ...i'm guessing someone here has seen this, but not me. This is exactly what's happening DP's Command Bindings are stored in User>Library>Preferences>com.motu.DigitalPerformer. I'd be curious if you see a Co...

Re: Negative delay compensation on MIDI tracks
Live, Cubase, Logic, and many other DAWS let you apply + / - track delay compensation in milliseconds on a track so easily that I find hard to believe DP doesn't have it! Not MIDI but MOTU has Precision Delay which does exactly that with the audio triggered by MIDI. Page 71: https://cdn-data.motu.c...

Re: Negative delay compensation on MIDI tracks
another alternative would be to put expert sleepers on each audio channel coming back from the multi-timbral instrument. So you report the latency there, instead of the instrument itself...and I would think DP should work out the PDC that way, again without having to worry about MIDI track delays. ...

Re: Negative delay compensation on MIDI tracks
I see. Might I suggest you send a note to MOTU (Techlink) with a request to add ms shift option to the MIDI Time Shift plugin. Although I can certainly see the utility of a plugin that will perform as you describe, in my experience, the amount of shift varies depending on any number of variables; I...

Re: Negative delay compensation on MIDI tracks
If you are looking to align Audio and MIDI globally, there is a Fine Tune Audio I/O Timing adjustment available in DP. Not in my studio at the moment; search the .pdf manual or this website. Also watch out for the "Sync Recorded Notes to MIDI Patch Thru" preference. Thanks for your reply ...

Negative delay compensation on MIDI tracks
Hello, Does anyone knows how to set up a negative delay compensation on MIDI tracks on DP 10? (If it's possible) I know about the Time Shift MIDI effect, although the lowest value I can set up there is -0,01 seconds, but I would like to set up millisecond values. From de MIDI clip window it's possib...
