Knucklehead answers his own question.
Somehow I turned. Of the monitor feature of adding a new track - Logic Pro X
Never mind.

Ultralite Mk3 hybrid and headphones..
Been using the Motu for about six months with no issues but here's one. Headphones connected to Motu function 100% on playback but all of a sudden I get no phones when recording Mics or instruments. Played with the motu audio settings on my iMac- nothing appears out of ordinary- phones are set to Ma...

Re: Motu Hybrid Guitar volume weirdness
Got it to work with a Mic Cable I had - XLR to TRS-
Initially was really distorted, sprayed contact cleaner in the XLR females, rebooted the computer and the a MOTU- voila. Works fine.
Thanks,
Jb

Re: Motu Hybrid Guitar volume weirdness
Thanks. Thought I had it licked but the Mic cable I have with 1/4" is TRS and not mono. Got sound but also a lot of noise.
Gonna quit while ahead (sort of).
Thanks for the link-will look on Monoprice also.

Re: Motu Hybrid Guitar volume weirdness
Thanks, got right by me. As soon as I get a chance I will look for an adaptor. Until then, better stay away from the direct cabling.
Thanks.

Love the sound of the Amp with Gibson Humbuckers, not so much with American Telecaster.
Thanks.

Motu Hybrid Guitar volume weirdness
I use a Mkiii Hybrid on AC power with Mac Mini Core i5 and Logic Pro X. I have a guitar amp with XLR outs that I sometimes use for direct recording. Today I was recording on Mic 2 input and the Gtr volume seemed low coming off the Motu. I give the gain a slight twist and it was like the volume doubl...

Quick way to isolate headphones?
MKiii hybrid Mac Mini Core i5 Logic Pro X Is there a button sequence other than cranking the button to mute the main output so as to isolate headphones. Partly because it bugs me to have to crank the button up and down, partly because the more times you wind it up and down the more likely it will we...

Mic Latency
Logic Pro X Mini, core 15 8 GB RAM Mavericks Ultralite Hybrid MK3 Had it a few weeks, after figuring out some of the buttons, happy. Making a track in Logic, simple stuff, Virtual drummer, bass, GTR, Grand Piano virtual. Armed to do a scratch vocal and wow...big time delay (latency) 1/4 sec or so. P...

Re: Headphone isolation (how do I?)
Thanks. Mac Mini core i7 8gb Ram Mavericks 10.9 Logic Pro X Simply, trying to record audio output and monitor through phones only. I figured out how to turn the Master Volume to accomplish that but is there a mute button for the Master volume rather than having to twist the knob all the time. I've d...

Headphone isolation (how do I?)
Newby - Been through the manual extensively and I guess I don't get the nomenclature but I want to be able to toggle the speakers on/off so I can listen through headphones only when necessary. (late at night, etc). Should be easy but I can't seem to figure the settings out. Also, I get play back in ...

Acquired an Ultralite (non-functioning) turned out to be a dead power brick. Installed it in my setup after buy a new brick and so far so good. I has version 1.03 firmware if I recall and the latest is 1.07 on the MOTU site. Downloaded it and I get a "downloaded file is corrupted, put it in the...
