Re: Queens' Brian May or Johnny Cash ?

Mattman: Here is my thought. Although your title was certainly clever, I'd prefer not to post a title that is a way to spell out the "F-word" on this forum. Thanks. James: The song title actually spells out, IYSK, not the "F-word". This song is about SEX. It demeans neither sex,...

Queens' Brian May or Johnny Cash ?

Hi, I've got another tune I 'd like to get your thoughts on. Once again, I played all the instruments including the drums and I sang all of the vocals. And once again, I'm not a drummer, so please be conscious of that. The song is titled - This songs TITLE has been DELETED by JAMES STEELE but it is ...

Re: this is my first time - give it to me good

dude, you have a nice tune there. you need help with mixing. you should take your comp to a mix house in town and just pay them a small amount to fix this thing. You will learn a lot. For starters, your vocal is through a cheaper mic, so you have to add a lot more top end, but with a good EQ. Also ...

Re: this is my first time - give it to me good

Quite well done - great vocals - I thought this was your attitude at first and then realized you were making a political statement about the powers that be. Right now, until the political system changes to something more honest and accountable, those people who will literally sell their grandmother...

Re: Midnight Oasis

Beautiful Orchestral Major Motion Picture Soundtrack. I'm trying to get past my phobia of reverb, and this score helps. It's lush, complex, and sweeping with its grandeur.
Be Proud.

Re: this is my first time - give it to me good

Phil, thanks for the critique and the kind words. I'm sure you're right about the guitar sounds, - and the mix. I believe there is a heaviness in the lower register over all that I'm having a hard time pinpointing. The guitars do have auto fade running all throughout the song. I recorded all the gui...

this is my first time - give it to me good

Hi, I'd love to get some comments on this. I played all the instruments including the drums. I'm not a drummer, so please be conscious of that. The first song 'I Own You' is the one I'd like the comments on. It was recorded exclusively with Digital Performer. Please don't hold back, tell me what you...

Hi, yes I'm interested in hearing all the mp3s. I heard the first one that's here on the motu page and couldn't connect to the others. I'm really impressed with it. It reminds me of a conglomeration of some artists I think are tops. - The Velvet U. & something off Echo & the Bunnymen's 'Ocea...

can you lock MIDI notes to soundbites?

Hi every one, in my most recent project,I've modified the conductor track to line up to the (1) recorded kick, of every 4/4 measure. I've used the trigger on all the drums on my drum kit. I can't seem to get the timing to line up correctly. You must choose between timing accuracy and velocity on the...

mulitiple soundbite fadeouts

Hi I did a strip silence on my drums (the toms). I tossed the crap and kept the tom hits. Now I want to put a universal fadeout on all of the tom sound bites but I only get the option of crossfade. Does anyone know how to select multiple soundbites in the sequence window (or anyhow) and select fadeO...
