Thank you for the info. I found it... Under Windows - Pop into/out of; Consolidated Windows.
I really do not want to learn/relearn yet another DAW. I can open these files & export to Logic.

Re: Help Resurrecting DP4 to Performer Lite 11
I haven't found a consolidated window solution but I took your advise and
exported the MIDI files. I started with Performer in 1986.
Although I'm using the Lite version I can see a lot has changed since my DP4 days.
These songs haven't seen the light of day in 22 years!
Thank you.

Help Resurrecting DP4 to Performer Lite 11
Hello,
Trying to play some MIDI projects from my old tone module days.
When I open an old DP4 file the GUI windows are separated.
Is there a way to have it as one window?

Re: Guitar into Analog in back, no signal
How many Mic Inputs total are you using at the same time? You have (2) Ultralites with a combined total of (4) Mic inputs and (2) Guitar inputs (on the AVB) out of the box.

Re: 828x, 8pre and Cuemix FX
Hello, Well it's 4 years later and I still have yet to get CueMix to interface with my iPad properly. I am so frustrated with this Motu gear. I'm to the point of selling it and getting something that actually has some quality phone support, clear instructions and manuals of it's use. mbenatar I hav...

Thanks for your reply. I guess it wouldn't hurt for me to buy a personal HP Pre-amp like the PreSonus HP2 or Behringer P1.

Re: No reverb in dsp or multiple headphone mixes above 48k
I have the 828 MKIII also. What I do is have the discreet mixes go thru a hardware reverb unit and mix in the dry/rev for the client. I have 4 rooms, 4 hp mixes and 4 reverb units. Love using Cuemix that way. I hate latency and low buffers. Too many problems. Could you explain your signal flow for ...

Re: anyone purchase ANY NEW Motu hardware lately...question
Yeah it does seem unusual. Usually there's a round disc of tape you need to peel away before opening the box. Was there any tape on the box? If the unit is new looking with no visual or other defects I wouldn't worry about it. But I get it... We all want new stuff. "B" Stock and Open Box i...

FYI - The Motu 828mk3 DOES have USB! Sometimes you will get pops and clicks due to buffer setting issues in your DAW.

Re: 1248 and Direct Hardware Playthrough
I've been wanting to replace my 828mk3 with a Thunderbolt Interface. At the same time I need to expand my inputs for Recording Drums and I was thinking about buying both a 1248 and a 8M. But after reading this thread I'm not so sure. Now I'm thinking I should keep the 828mk3 and just buy a 8Pre USB ...

Re: Cna I pick your brain about MOTU AVB interfaces?
What have you decided to do? I want to expand my Mic Inputs in order to record Acoustic Drums. I'm tempted to purchase both the 1248 and an 8M to Network together. The 1248 would replace my 828mk3 in my Control Room (connected to the Computer) and the 8M would be by the Drums connected to the 1248 o...

Re: Logic Question
I could be wrong about that so I may have misspoke. As long as you've downloaded all of the Additional Content you may be fine. But if you were to ever lose a legacy channel strip setting etc. it would be easier to copy it from the older version on your computer.

Re: Logic Question
You can import GB6 and GB10 files into Logic Pro X. If you have all the versions on the same computer then by deleting Logic Pro 9 you could lose some Legacy Sounds and Plug-ins that are available within LPX. I still have GB6, GB10, Logic Exp, LP9 and LPX on my computer with no plans to delete any o...

Re: Motu 828 MkIII firewire with Thunderbolt adaptor?
looking at buying new MacBook Pro. Can I run the original MOTU 896 using the thunderbolt to firewire 800 adapter connected to a Firewire 800 to 400 cable? Thx! Can you confirm that the original 896 works? I have to help a friend setup a new system. My plan is to use a FW400/FW800 cable and the TB a...
