Re: Drop out problems after transfering content of HDD
So, after short episode, when I was thinking it is in somo kind of ground loops, I tried to reinstall Snow Leopard (from 10.6.8 to 10.6.1). Now it seems that everything will work as it used to. I only hope, the problem is solved via "refreshing" directories after reinstallation and not via...

Re: Drop out problems after transfering content of HDD
To mikehalloran: I did not make the second reinstallation, because that thing with Easy Install seems complicated to me (if you mean that Python related thing which I found on google). If something is not installable via package, I am lost. But I don`t think it is in the DP application/installation,...

Re: Drop out problems after transfering content of HDD
OK, I can try to reinstall DP one more time - maybe for the firts time it wasn`t done so properly. But as I wrote earlier it does it also in other programs - for example that picture in my previous post is from Ableton Live. And the sound of that glitch is identical as in DP. On the other hand I tri...

Re: Drop out problems after transfering content of HDD
And for a complete information I tried to capture the glitch on the waveform. It is from the Ableton Live, because in DP it was not visible even when I zoomed it at max. http://www.nahraj-obrazek.cz/?di=1513960088109 It is a constant tone made by my voice through microphone. And there in the middle,...

Re: Drop out problems after transfering content of HDD
So I tried to reinstall DP and drivers for the audio interface (E-MU 0404 USB) and the problem is still there. But here are some new details to describe it closer: - those dropouts (or glitches) appear when the signal comes in. I mean when I tried to leave just connected microphone and record the si...

Re: Drop out problems after transfering content of HDD
OK, I found an answer for the last one on Motu's site -> I will re-install and re-authorize the version of DP I have physically and than download and install the update pack.. But still: will this not make some mess in the plugin directories? I wouldn't like to reinstall everey single plugin.. Thanks

Re: Drop out problems after transfering content of HDD
Yes, I did the procedure with "Migration assistant". So I try to reinstall DP - I thought it will be easier to migrate installed application with all the other data... And will DP find all the plugins after reinstalation? I think there is no problem with them, because those dropouts (or gl...

Drop out problems after transfering content of HDD
Hello, I accidentally damaged my first MacBook with glass of water few months ago and finally bought a new one (it means "newer" - it is white one from january 2010). I transfered whole data from the old HDD to the new one - this machine might be slightly faster (cca 2.2 GHz) and has twice...

Re: CD burn of project disrupted
OK, I finished the project in Toast (version 9). I'm satisfied with the crossfades function there. I needed it just, because I like to leave the reverb tail of one track and let the other step in it. It just seems to me more flawless... Thanks to everybody one more time for advices. But still, it's ...

Re: CD burn of project disrupted
I used the CD-RW just as a crisis solution last time because I destroyed 5 normal, not rewritable medias before due to this problem. But I know they are not good for music... To use some other burning program as Toast (I don't have the others) - so I need to make particular masters to all of the tra...

Re: CD burn of project disrupted
Mikehalloran: OK, I'll try to check the blank disk visualy before burn to make myself sure that there are no fingerprints etc. But as I said, the burning process failed several times... MIDI Life Crisis: Yes, the necessity of having everything converted to 44,1 bothers me too. When burning my previo...

Re: CD burn of project disrupted
OK, thanks. I burned it on some Verbatim - do you have some tip, which brand is reliable?
Because I think I didn't use some high speed, maybe just the "8x". I don't have my recording computer with me right now, so I can't say for sure...

CD burn of project disrupted
Hello, I was trying to burn master of my project from DP7 and it was repetedly disrupted few seconds before completing. The error massage says something about that the burned disk would not be OK and indeed, it's not. The CD player loads the CD, correctly reads the number of tracks and the length of...
