SOLVED
I found that I hadn't granted Pro Tools access to my "microphone" in the System Preferences > Security & Privacy. It works now.

2408mk3 and Pro Tools 2018
I am having trouble getting the inputs of my 2408mk3 to work in Pro Tools, version 2018. The output works fine, but nothing is getting IN to PT. I can see the signal on the Analog In section of the interface, but nothing gets into Pro Tools. I've tried all available inputs and nothing works. Device ...

Re: DP 9.1 notes cutting out when toggling record
Are you guys toggling record-enable between tracks while the transport is running? This is not an issue of the transport running. When the transport is stopped this is an issue. Upon playback, any recorded MIDI notes play just fine, and yes, there is the same lag when record-enabling different trac...

Re: DP 9.1 notes cutting out when toggling record
This is new to DP 9.1. When I have a MIDI track playing back and I toggle or move the record selector in the TO the playback notes cut out. I noticed this immediately when I started work tonight for the first time in the update. 9.01 didn't do that and I could playback and move the record selection...

Re: Something is definitely wrong with DP9 AUTOSAVE...
Auto save has saved my tuckus many times, and sometimes many times a day. I never futzed with the preferences but for having it save every 2 minutes and only keeping 20 versions. I also use VEP and second, third and fourth the DECOUPLE feature. Without it one can get by with just a few instances ope...

Re: Quickscribe Display Quantize?
I mean, if I play a number of 32th notes and the tempo displayed in Quickscribe is not that perfect, normally in other DAW there's a display quantize/interpretation so we can display it right , without changing the MIDI. How can we achieve this in DP? I just had good results by turning ON Score Opt...

Re: How to Create Nested Folders in DP9?
I've requested MOTU to make folders expandable by double clicking the gray bar, but so far not in dp9.

Re: Composers undervalued, 'Sound & Music' report
This is nothing new. Many of the greats often survived on the generosity of patrons or taught music lessons for a living. Few had financial success in their time. That being said, composers have to know what to charge and not be afraid to ask for it (or demand it)!! This goes across the board: the t...

Re: How do you deal with ritard and delay on tracks?
Some delay plugins such as Soundtoys Echoboy can be set independently of the session tempo. As such you can set the tempo to that of the track's and change the song tempo without the delay changing, though the taps would not match the song tempo. Regarding the Pattern Gate I'm not sure offhand if th...

Re: A new question: Finale vs Sibelius
Finale 2012/2014 and Sibelius 6 are what I see doing copying work here in LA. Few have moved to Sibelius 7 and finale is used by the majority of the composers and orchestrators I've worked with. Recently, I was using both programs on a Klaus Badelt film and the new Star Wars Battlefront game. It dep...

I usually view my SB window by Time Created and it looks just as you describe.Radiogal wrote:FWIW. Mine is normally showing "Time Created". The first file shows first. The second one is with the suffiX "2".

I'll put money on this actually being two soundbites (i.e. regions) that both point to the same audio file.Radiogal wrote:Two files, one with the suffix. "2"

How much memory is in your system? Where are your samples--on a drive other than the program drive?

Some Kontakt libraries use more CPU than others - RESOLVED
So far, my only workaround is to make a quick mix down, take every other audio track offline, and then record the part, bus K5 to an audio track and record it as audio, then remove the instrument from Kontakt. That sounds quite cumbersome. I run into similar issues with rev. It just gobbles up my C...
