BTW all i have is MICs, an sm57 and a Rode NTK condensor, this is how i wish to record so the mic inputs on the front of the interface is my only option. or am i going about this the wrong way..? for guitar i would be using 2 mics and for bass, 2 mics and a direct-in through one of the analog inputs...

Heres the deal.. i was on the phone with a motu guy and he set me up so i can get my pc audio through my main out in the front of my MOTU 828MK3 heres the problem(s) 1) Using Cubase 5, the mic/guitar inputs & outputs remain inactive, but the mics are showing activity on the front of the interfac...

the same thing happened to me. then i fell asleep and woke up at 4 am and suddenly it was on again... What the heck????

I just got a motu 828mk3 and im trying to use my pc speakers for playback.. its a logitech surround sound thing.. i heard that i could use my speakers if i plug it into the motu somehow but how would i do that? and if not, the headphones dont seem to be working either. can somebody hlp me out? You ...

I only use the beige an black plugs. So the main one being the black I suppose, I would use that one?

Or would it be in my best interest to get 2 small studio monitors for better clarity?
