Re: Anyone use 896mk3 with vdrums and SD2
Actually that's got me thinking... I have some time today and an old system down there with a pci on it. I won't be able to load the expansions on it or use sd2 at full quality like on this system. But it should at least let me know if I'm disillusioned or not. Maybe I just have a bug in my head abo...

Re: Anyone use 896mk3 with vdrums and SD2
@ torrentg - Sorry, it is a roland vdrum module. I probably should have mentioned while playing the drums :). I don't notice any lag on amp modelling software, or even any other virtual instrument for that matter. Although, I don't play jazz keys which I've heard needs to be extremely tight as well....

Anyone use 896mk3 with vdrums and SD2
Hi all, I was wondering if someone else out there is using roland vdrums with the 896mk3? If so, what are your experiences with it? I'm having a bit of an issue with felt latency that renders it pretty useless. For all intents and purposes I'm quite happy with the 896mk3(firewire this is not a hybri...

896MK3 Display Problem
Hello all :) I was wondering if anyone has experienced issues with their displays on the motu devices? I have a unit I purchased at the end of Oct. 2010 (NEW from AMS) As of late the display ramdomly dims. Not frequent, but occasionally. It is as if the backlight is dimming. The LCD contrast still w...

Re: Stability of MOTU USB MIDI interfaces on Windows?
Persaonally, I prefer Professional 64 over all of the w7 lineup. However it is totally an end user call. I really can't tell you what to do in that aspect.
As for Cubase, yes it does.
Hope this helps

Re: MOTU Longevity & Hello
Okay, I'm on unit 4 -lol Everything appears to be working well. My question is this... How do I do a diagnostic test? It seems I saw something somewhere about doing a self test on the 896MK3. I just want to be 100% certain all is well after my last occurrences. Thank you in advance for any help you ...

Re: Stability of MOTU USB MIDI interfaces on Windows?
Don't know if it matters anymore. Maybe you've got your answer. However, I've had no problems at all with my MOTU MIDI Express 128 on W7 Pro 64 and Ultimate 64. I run a Vetta, 2 Roland TD-20's, A Roland TMC-6 and an Alesis Trigger I/O. Never a hiccup. Everythin is solid. No idea which rom is in the ...

ZBox Experience?
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the Motu Zbox.
If so, what are your opinions of it?
How much of a difference does it make?
Thanks

Re: MOTU Longevity & Hello
Thanks for the welcome Monkey Man. I've contacted the store and they are sending another replacement. With any luck, all will be well. If not, I'm going to let MOTU do the next one.
Thanks,

Re: MOTU Longevity & Hello
Thanks for the reply JP :) I hate coming on to a new forum complaining from the word "go". That is good to hear. I guess I'll go for number 4 and keep my fingers crossed. I'm half tempted to contact MOTU direct and have them replace the unit rather than going back to the store. I jus...

MOTU Longevity & Hello
Hello All, Firstly, I'm new here and wanted to say hello. Second, I was interested in getting some MOTU opinions. In 2000, I purchased my first MOTU device. (24i with a PCI324) I was never overly impressed with it as a sole device. Although somehow I doubt that was ever it's intent. At any rate, not...
