Re: Getting Pro Audio to work on Big Sur
Last updated March 26, 2021 from MOTU: M2 and M4 bus-powered USB audio interfaces are now compatible with M1-powered Macs and macOS Big Sur... ...BUT most pro audio models are still not compatible with macOS Big Sur. And we are only three months away from Apple announcing the successor of Big Sur an...

Re: Getting Pro Audio to work on Big Sur
I would also be very interested in knowing what device(s) has been tested with this hack. I am currently checking the Big Sur compatibility page every day, literally, because the 828es driver incompatibility is the only thing holding me back from upgrading to Big Sur. This is a serious problem for p...

Re: Monitoring inputs with 828 (origina) on Mac OS X Lion
The planet is not going to die because of your 10-year old 828, so let's not be so dramatic. Maybe, if you're so concerned, you should do your part by not upgrading to Lion to save the planet. Too late, I already did... but you definitively have a point here. Also, you can probably sell it o...

Re: Monitoring inputs with 828 (origina) on Mac OS X Lion
Maybe it will just take too much time to solve the issue than MOTU can justify spending (time=money) on an interface that is, what, 10 years old? ...and which still works like a breeze :-) But yes, you might actually be right: fixing software for a 10 years old interface might not be a priority for...

Re: Monitoring inputs with 828 (origina) on Mac OS X Lion
I can confirm that the direct monitoring feature of the original 828 and 896 interfaces is not supported under OS 10.7. This is not something that MOTU can fix without an update from Apple. Essentially, OS 10.7 broke this feature. Dave Having thought about it for while, I had a hard time convincing...

Monitoring inputs with 828 (origina) on Mac OS X Lion
I upgraded to OS X Lion and to the latest MOTU drivers but I lost the ability to choose which input is monitored via my 828 (original) using the MOTU Audio Setup utility. The list of monitor able inputs is basically empty. Other features of the MOTU Audio Setup utility are perfectly functional (incl...
