I have also seen extra delays caused by certain video cards that the QT is on. For instance- in my MacPro I have a ATI Radeon HD 2600XT and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 120. Indeed the limitation of AU as a plugin spec is a bummer and that DP does not support other plugin formats like VST. It would be great if VSL would make a MAS version but somehow I doubt it. THE BLACKMAGIC INTENSITY PRO card does NOT work in DP! I just bought the Blackmagic Intensity Pro to output the quicktime video to an external monitor since my Canopus ADVC110 has been acting up and getting way out of sync for no reason..
