Thanks for the reply. Well, a friend of mine did it, i though he knew how to plug in the cable correctly but after checking it he plugged it upside down in both ports. I am currently having problems with a non recognized MOTU 8pre device and i would like to know which is the best way for you to uninstall a driver and clean the Windows XP register so you can intall an upgraded driver.

Dear BradLyons, Thanks for the reply. I will retest the MOTU 8Pre in another PC tonight using last MOTU driver they have online. I have a big doubt, can the firewire ports of the MOTU get damaged if you plugin incorrectly (upside down) the firewire cable? I know this happened since my friend did it ...
