Got the headphones. Nice. Working fine with the Ultralite without any additional amp.
Not really sure what you mean by "burn in" - will I notice something after the 50-10 hours?

Re: Ultralite & AKG K702 - headphone amp?
Great - thanks for the replies. I'm picking up the phones next week, so will try it out without an amp, and I'm now confident it will work fine, good to know.

Levels for soft synths in Ultralite Mk3
I'm using my MOTU Ultralite mainly with soft synths. Playing a soft synth track back in my DAW, I can see activity in my Ultralite Outputs, but I cannot see any activity in Inputs or in Mixes - how do I set up Inputs and Mixes for soft synths?

Re: Recording levels - what am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the reply. By "Return" I was meaning the audio track input as Stereo MOTU Audio ASIO Return. I should of course be selecting the input as whatever the my synth is going into - in this case Stereo Analog 7. Same result actually ... a quite low signal, although now I can adjust th...

Re: Recording levels - what am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the reply - but I don't see anywhere in CueMix any levels for Return. Is that controlled by the Monitor level? I have the monitor level set quite low, as using my near-field monitors, also set quite low, its still very loud. I can increase the monitor level to maximum when using headphone...

Recording levels - what am I doing wrong?
I am using Sonar X1, playing back several tracks of MIDI instruments. Master bus levels are around -6db. I set up one track to record audio (using Ultralite Mk3). I set input as MOTU Return 1 (is this correct way?). The recorded WAV had a level around -27 db. Shouldn't the level be same as the Maste...

Re: Ultralite Mk3 - struggling with set up
Thanks for the reply - I applied some trim. It did make things louder, but also introduced a lot of crackling/noise. I don't have this issue with the SPDIF at all - levels are good, and there is no noise at all.
Not sure what to do now - any suggestions?

Re: Ultralite Mk3 - struggling with set up
Thanks for the reply - but I already did increase the Motif rack levels to highest - it introduces a lot of noise, and its still not very loud.

Ultralite Mk3 - struggling with set up
I've had my Ultralite Mk3 working fine for a while using SPDIF IN for my main hardware keyboard + various soft synths. Now I want to add a hardware sound module (Motif Rack). I cannot connect via SPDIF as that input is taken already, so I have taken 2 x quarter inch analog jacks out from the Motif R...

Re: Small pops/clicks
Thanks torentg for that Legacy driver tip ... I now followed those instructions. Wish me luck
You also say make sure that "throttling of the cpu is disabled in the bios" - how do I do that?

Re: Ultralite MK3 FW Win 7 64 Blue Screen of Death
I have 3.7.39083 drivers along with Windows 7 64-bit. I am having some issues with occasional audio glitches/dropouts, but no BSOD.
Its so difficult to know what to check, when all else seems correct (apart from the firewire chip of course, and I have brand new TI-chip on my motherboard).

Re: Small pops/clicks
Using the analogue cables, and taking the SPDIF out, fixed the problem. I can record now without clicks or pops. Will a simple cable change fix the digital issue, or is it more likely the clocking issue? All I did was run a digital cable from synth to Ultralite, I did not know I would need to make a...
