For pre MKIII units it is probably best to use the 3.6.7.x driver. F%@K!!!! If that's what it takes to make this work, I'll be both happily relieved and hugely enraged, since I started out with the older drivers and had some luck. I don't think it's a hardware problem. Most likely it's the new drivers. I had no problems with the last version of the XP64 drivers, but when I downloaded and installed the new ones, nothin'. Did someone really suggest using a machine with SP1? Seriously? That counts as good advice? No offense, but...

I'm having no luck using the brand new XP64 drivers. They 're useless and don't even recognize the MKii Firewire, even though it makes the connect sound when I plug it in and it appears in my device manager as functioning perfectly. Sigh...
