Re: 6.02 getting confused: me or it?

Any real solution other than reassigning take folders or moving original folders? This is so annoying to have to add an extra step every time. I now have 2 new bands stored in the audio path of 3 bands ago--didn't catch this right away...now for the painstaking process of doing a "save as"...

Don't know what changed really, but now all seems to be working. Thanks!

Re: Reinstall OS, new drive, AUs not working (help!)

Ok. Somehow now after restarting DP scanned the folder. My UAD plugs and pluggo didn't work, but I'm reinstalling now. I guess they have stuff in other places that didn't like the reinstall of OSX. Crossing my fingers that this works!

Re: Reinstall OS, new drive, AUs not working (help!)

Yeah they're in the root (not user) directory. I did create a second dummy admin account when I was having finder/hd problems, but I don't think there's anything there. I'll check though...

Re: Getting back working after main drive failure (help!)

Yeah. The only problem seems to be this:
Noting in my "Components" folder is recognized. I even moved it, then reinstalled a plug (which created a new folder). That was not recognized either, so I put the old one back. Ideas?

Re: Getting back working after main drive failure (help!)

Ok I deleted a redundant folder and Altiverb works. I can use all my old clippings etc. Good. BUT it seems like DP won't recognize anything in my "components" folder. How can I get it to rescan or what should I do?

SOLVEDReinstall OS, new drive, AUs not working (help!)

So my main drive kicked the bucket this weekend. Well, the finder stopped working properly and after testing a few things I decided to replace the drive and reinstall os x (10.4.11). Luckily all projects are on separate drives. I was able to start my computer as a hard drive with my laptop, and clon...

Re: massive dropouts in 5.13 new problem

buffer at 1024 (multiplier at 2). Files 24 bit 88.2. I've done probably over a hundred comparable mixes in the same setup, totally a recent problem. Like I open up files from 6 months ago and the big ones have trouble even though I have more ram. maybe i need to play with the mysterious quanta/work ...

massive dropouts in 5.13 new problem

I'm having dropout issues on my computer now. Sometimes stuttering (like cpu overload), and on big files busses will drop in or out completely. Like the guitar will disappear. Annoying thing is is that while these are big files, I was running them all fine a few weeks ago, but now they're acting up....
