Anyone point me in the right direction? I downloaded Lame, followed instal instruction etc but it doesn't seem to be installed and I can't bounce to mp3.

I just realised I can run Unisyn on the intel .. seems to work. EXCEPT I have never got to square one with this program. I used the old Unisyn on system 9 all the time and could really do with getting this version up and running. Anyone willing to lend a guiding hand?

Can anyone offer advice on how/if I can incorporate the apogee into my existing set up. The apogee only sends a digital signal and I can't see how to access the apogee in core audio (USB) without deselecting the 2408. I used my old Unisyn everytime I used the computer. Fantastic.
I upgraded to 2.1 last year and I can't even get started. I just don't understand how to store anything.
Can anyone provide a little time via email to give me some pointers?

Just so you know there is at least one other person closely following your experience so let us know how it goes with DP. I've had trouble running DP 4.5 with my early model G4 (one of the first models - 366mhz or something; 9 Gig hard drive 526mb ram). If I recordselect an audio track it takes about 10 seconds to start running. It made a small difference when I deselected multirecord or multitrack record or some such....

Spent time trying things out with DP4.5 and realised that the sluggish behaviour is directly related to having play and record enabled. If I disable record the computer runs normally. Any track record enabled and I'm watching the color wheel.

Any ideas why?

The solution was to deinstal the old version of DP that I had on the computer. I then also deinstalled and reinstalled DP 4.52 and my world is back to normal. So far everything works as it should.

I think that if you can hear the apple synth then you can record it. if you create a mono or stereo audio track to record to then on the input of that track specify whatever channel the softsynth is sending on - analog, spdf, sound manager etc etc - it should record.
